The Foundation is an independent voice and source of facts and analysis for policymakers, the media, the health care community, and the general public. The Foundation focuses on three major areas Health Policy, Media and Public Education, and Health and Development in South Africa. The Health Policy area provides facts, analysis, and explanation on health policy issues to policymakers, the media and the public. The Media and Public Education area works facts, analysis, and explanation on health policy issues to policymakers, the media and the public. The Health and Development in South Africa area continues to help South Africa develop a more equitable health system and a successful democracy. They house a headquarters in California and a second office Washington, DC.
