GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITIONS
The URI Family Resource Partnership provides research opportunities for graduate level students attending the University of Rhode Island. Academic year and summer assistantships working with the partnership, Early Intervention, Reading Excellence, Family Policy Institute, early childhood or other projects are available.
The number of positions is based on available funding support during the summer and academic year, and graduate level students with an interest in working on a Family Resource Partnership project are encouraged to apply early for current and/or anticipated positions.
The Family Resource Partnership Family Institute Assistantship is an appointment working directly on FRP Family Institute activities.. This appointment is limited to masters-level students enrolled in Human Development and Family Studies. The appointment can be offered for the academic year and possibly include a summer assistantship. This appointment is not limited to in-state students, and out-of-state students are strongly encouraged to apply. One or more graduate research assistantships may be offered based on available funding.
Graduate Research Assistant positions are available working on the Rhode Island Early Intervention project. There are also research and educational opportunities during the academic year. Summertime research and grantwriting experiences are available as well as project development work. These positions involve working with the community parents, providers, and policymakers, and usually involve some travel throughout the state. Mileage is reimbursable.
The Reading Excellence project involves research collection and analysis of data gathered from students attending public schools between the ages of 5 and 15 .
