  • LGBTIQQ Symposium - The Annual LGBTQ Sympoium brings together the academic and social topics together. In spring 2012, we hosted our 17th annual LGBTIQQ Symposium. With 3-4 programs taking place every day, we were able to offer discussion and interaction for over 350 participants.

To highlight our week, we unveiled our newly re-designed Safe Zone program, invited Trans Activist Ryan Sallans as our Keynote Speaker, and enjoyed entertainment from award winning Drag Performers Deja D. Dellatarro and Autumn De La Rue at our Queer Prom.

In spring 2013, we will continue this program in March. Many opportunities exist for student, faculty, staff, and community involvement. To volunteer, call 401-874-2894.
    Visit the Symposium Web site.

  • Conversation Groups - Facilitated conversation groups are held every week throughout the academic year, on Thursdays from 7:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in Adams Hall, Room 111 (LGBTQ Center). Groups are always open to all University students and interested people over the age of 18.

Conversation groups engage a range of topics which encourage discussion in a safe and friendly environment. Participants are also invited to initiate discussion about topics they believe to be of interest and importance.
