ADA Video Submissions

In celebration of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) that was signed into law on July 26, 1990 by President George H.W. Bush.  During this 30 year anniversary we want to honor the ongoing work the ADA is doing to promote equal opportunities for people with disabilities by telling their stories.

Participants were asked to create a short video (90 seconds or less) of how the ADA has influenced the lives of people with and without disabilities.  Videos focused on one of the following three questions:

  • How has the ADA impacted the quality of your life and/or society in general (universal design)?
  • How has the ADA impacted your life or the life of a person that you know who is living with a disability?
  • What still needs to be done at a local or national level to improve accessibility for individuals living with a disability?
