Mission

The Human Capital Management (HCM) team supports the University’s mission by focusing on the need to provide the support for its faculty and staff to pursue excellence in the State’s public learner-centered research facility. The HCM team provides the university community with the most efficient, reliable, secure and flexible platform for the storage and dissemination of human capital management information possible.  As a diverse group with team members from Human Resources, Budget and Payroll, the HCM Team supports the University through the analysis and implementation of the Human Capital Management side of the university’s administrative computer system. Through research, thorough testing, customizations, innovative training and dedicated end-user support the HCM team provides the vital administrative infrastructure the University relies upon for all of its human capital management data needs.

Supporting HCM users at the main campus in Kingston, the Bay Campus and at the Providence CCE campus is a top priority of the HCM Team.

Vision

As the main business analysis unit serving as liaison between Human Resources, Budget, Payroll and Management Information Systems the HCM team will:

  • Create an integrated HCM system that is the most efficient, reliable and user-friendly system possible.

  • Work to clarify and continuously improve all employment related procedures within the HCM database system.

  • Reevaluate business practices and maximize efficiency and effectiveness while taking advantage of the full potential of the system.

  • Maximize flexibility for users while maintaining required security.

  • Develop innovative methods to improve the HCM product.

  • Produce effective and timely documentation and training needed for department and administrative employees to perform their jobs.

  • Make recommendations and facilitate implementation of business process improvements
