University Technology Network
The University Tech Network (UTN) is an organization of technical staff from URI's campuses and colleges. The UTN meets on the fourth Thursday of every month, normally at 10:30 in one of the Library conference rooms.
Designed to coordinate technical issues at URI, one of the foci of the group is to improve information dissemination among disparate groups. The UTN has also evolved into subgroups to manage overlapping problem areas within the university structure such as software acquisition, web development, help desk coordination, and the use of portals.
The UTN is supported by an online bulletin board and archives.
