URI Helping Haiti

eXposure URI's Multi-Cultural Dance Group

We, eXposure URI's Multi-Cultural Dance Group, are going to be a memorable and charitable event. We as a campus and RI are coming together to raise money for the Haiti Relief Fund and for the Multi Cultural Center right here at URI. We want to do this in a way where we are all accounted for not just for our organization but for whom we are within our roots. With that said, the Big Bang is all of this in one event, in one ground breaking night. We will be holding the event in the Memorial Union April 2nd, 2010 from 10pm to 4am. The goal of the event is to get people from all backgrounds and cultures to do something together as a community for one common cause. The event includes 12+ on campus organizations and 4+ organizations in other colleges. The event is based around music, which our mission statement states our main goal is, where we use music and dance to bring people together. There will be multiple rooms, each assigned a specific culture, thus far being Latin, Cape Verdean, Hip-Hop Reggae Soca, and Techno and Rock Bands. Through this we are taking all the proceeds and donating them to both the URI Multi-Cultural Center and the Haiti Relief Fund.
