How You Can Help

The URI Feinstein Center for Service Learning can assist you in learning how best to help Haiti during this time of crisis. The mission of the Feinstein Center for Service Learning is to create an engaged campus community through: intentionally planned service and community engagement that fosters student leadership; support for faculty scholarship in service learning; and direct service and advocacy work that meets local, state, national and global community needs. It is the belief of the Feinstein Center for Service Learning that active involvement with community issues builds civic responsibility, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills while fostering an appreciation of larger social issues.

Located in Roosevelt Hall (rooms 125 & 127), the Feinstein Center would be happy to connect you with information about how best you can help Haiti. You can also visit our website, Feinstein Center for Service Learning, for various ways to provide support from indirect service, like donating funds, to direct service and advocacy.

Please remember that help for Haiti will need long term support. Stay connected to learn more about how you can continue to help Haiti and local communities here in Rhode Island. To continue your community engagement join the URI Volunteer Listserv by simply sending an email to cfv@etal.uri.edu with your name, email, major and expected year of graduation.

THANK YOU for all of your efforts.
