A Living and Learning Community (LLC) is an entire residence hall, or a sector within a residence hall, that is assigned by academic college, major, or interest area. Students living in an LLC share common academic interests and attend some classes together, but also form study and academic support groups, share access to Residential Academic Mentors (RAM), and attend faculty-sponsored programs within their residential communities.

The Union is center for campus activities. It is home to over 100 student organizations, the Center for Student Leadership Development, the Office of Student Involvement, the URI Bookstore, plus many other services and offices. Attend an event or plan an event, there is always something happening at the Union.
Ram Tours is a travel program for URI Students! Each semester a variety of exciting road trips are planned, such as Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics games, Six Flags, Broaway Shows in NYC, Zip Lining in The Berkshires and Spring Break in Italy.

The Greek community at the University of Rhode Island is comprised of 20 organizations, including 10 men's groups (fraternities) and 10 women's groups (sororities). There are over 1,600 active members, which account for approximately 15% of the total University undergraduate population! Go Greek!
