In recognition of the need for a consistent and more targeted and strategic institutional messaging scheme, the President defined a new set of goals and production workflow for the authoring of web pages on the University website. Departments are encouraged to get in touch with the Department of Communications and Marketing to review their websites including look and feel, navigation, information architecture, content and messages and make sure they conform to the latest brand guidelines. No departmental sites are allowed to go live unless they have been reviewed and approved by the Department of Communications and Marketing.
To assist in the URI branding initiative, the Information Technology Services has developed a Dreamweaver Web Template to assist departments in developing websites that conform to the latest URI brand guidelines. The template is NOT intended for use on personal or student organization websites.
