The Independent Scribe
This is the offical page for The University of Rhode Island's undergraduate literary journal. This semester (Spr 08), a group of hardworking English majors are working to set up a publication, due for print at the end of the semester to showcase YOUR work in a pre-professional, public, and academic environment. We hope that you will take this opportunity to contribute your work to a project that will reflect your talent, what motivates you, and your energy. The Independent Scribe is U.R.I.'s first undergraduate literary publication in years. The Independent Scribe was founded and is managed by undergraduates. This is an excellent opportunity for budding writers to have their work published! The Sribe accepts submissions of poetry, short stories, and critical essays. The Scribe seeks to publish works of exemplary skill and so students should have their works critiqued prior to submission. This semester, the deadline is March 07.
