Postbaccalaureate Applicants
Advising and other services of the Health Professions Advisory Office are also available to students who have completed their
undergraduate degree at URI or another institution, but lack part or all of the requirements for admission to medical school or
other professional programs. Postbaccalaureate students may take the courses they still need as non-matriculating graduate students,
they can declare a second undergraduate degree, or enroll in a graduate program.
The Pre-Health Advisor will determine the specific needs of postbaccalaureate students and will assist them in applying for admission
to the appropriate programs at URI. Postbaccalaureate students should register with the Pre-Health Advisor before their first
semester at URI.
