Associate Director of the International Engineering Program (IEP) and Associate Professor, AAUP Calendar (106423), Heidi Kirk Duffy Center for International Engineering Education. This is a three-year, calendar year position, with appointment renewal based on performance and funding. There is potential for a tenure-track/tenured associate professor position in an appropriate field based on professional credentials and approval of the appropriate department, dean and the Provost. The position begins July 1, 2009. Duties include: Serve as Director of the German International Engineering Program (IEP), the University's flagship International Engineering Program; direct the Chinese IEP; and support the Director of the IEP in performance of the following functions; coordinate and supervise the overall IEP Program; raise external funds;  write/manage grants; place student interns (Germany and China); prepare and mentor students for international work/study; coordinate the Braunschweig exchange; develop/maintain corporate network; develop/maintain IEP Advisory Board; manage/supervise IEP staff; organize annual Colloquium on International Engineering Education; disseminate through publications and conference presentations; develop/oversee new initiatives.  There may be a possibility to teach courses in the appointee's field of study.  Position reports to the Director of the IEP and the Deans of Arts and Sciences and Engineering.  Required: Earned doctorate and a strong record in higher education, OR a distinguished career in global business and industry, and at least a masters-level degree; proficiency in German; strong cross-cultural communication skills; significant professional overseas experience; ability to manage corporate, community, and school outreach; ability to work well with students; appreciation and understanding of technology and the global marketplace; administrative, management, and supervisory experience; excellent communication skills, both written and oral; commitment to diversity; skills and experience in support of fundraising or venture capital fundraising; skills in support of grant writing and management; network of corporate and higher education contacts; evidence of dynamic leadership; evidence of visionary and entrepreneurial skills. Dean, Pharmacy, NUNC, (107095), College of Pharmacy.  Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Lead an academy of scholars, overseeing the programs, personnel, research enterprise and budget of the College of Pharmacy.  Ensure efficient and effective programs of learning, discovery, and outreach.  Communicate clearly to both internal and external stakeholders in a manner that promotes understanding of conflicting goals, priorities, and values.  Raise external funds in supplemental support of a new Pharmacy building (particularly important in the first years of the appointment).  Serve as a member of the Provost's leadership team, actively supporting the missions and goals of both the University and the College.  Aggressively promote the University's commitment to diversity, equity, and justice.  As a member of the Council of Deans, participate in the development of the strategic priorities of the Division of Academic Affairs.  Assure that the goals of the College align with those of the institution, and serve as the principal advocate for the faculty, staff, and students of the College. A degree in pharmacy with eligibility for pharmacy licensure in Rhode Island is required.
