2009 CAMPUS GROUNDS OVERTIME

SPECIAL POSTING FOR LOCAL 528 MEMBERS

 

The University needs additional workers (approximately 10-20) to work on overtime basis to assist lands & Grounds perform required cleanup and campus beautification duties.  This work includes, but not limited to: planting, seeding, raking, digging, weeding, mowing, trimming, pruning, trash/litter cleanup and other aspects of regular landscape maintenance.

Date & Times:

Overtime shifts will primarily occur on the following weekend days: April 25th & 26th; May 2nd, 3rd, 9th & 10th.  Shifts will be 8am – 4:30pm (lunch at noon).  Additional dates & times may be added, at which point those who have signed up will be notified from the Asst. Director of Lands & Grounds by phone or email.

Please note:  shifts will be filled in accordance to state seniority.  If local 528 does not meet quota, members of PTAA and ACT will be considered from the sign up sheets.

ALL INTERESTED EMPLOYEES ARE ASKED TO SIGN UP AT THE SHERMAN BUILDING, 2nd FLOOR FACILITIES SERVICES ADMINISTRATION OFFICE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY APRIL 10th AT 4PM.

COMMENCEMENT 2009 OVERTIME

SPECIAL POSTING FOR LOCAL 528 MEMBERS


The University needs approximately 40 people on Saturday May 16th and approximately 30 people on Sunday May 17th to work on overtime basis for Commencement 2009.  This work includes setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies, custodial duties, grounds cleaning, and all other jobs relating to the event.

Please note: shifts will be filled in accordance to state seniority.  If local 528 does not meet quota, members of PTAA and ACT will be considered from the sign up sheets.

Shift Specifics: 

Saturday, May 16th & May 17th

·        Main Campus: Report to Sherman Building.  Grounds Crews begin work at 6am; all other crews start at 10am until completion (approximately 7 pm).  Breaks will be 9-9:15am (for grounds crews) and 4:30-4:45pm.

·        Athletic Complex: Report to Jodi Hawkins at Mackal Field House.  Start at 10am until completion (approximately 3pm), break will be 1:15-1:30pm.
