Lecturer, NUFAC, Kinesiology.  The University of Rhode Island's Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a full-time one year renewable lecturer in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field.  The Department of Kinesiology, which has had tremendous growth in undergraduate enrollment, offers undergraduate studies in Exercise Science, Health Fitness, and Physical Education Teacher Education.  The position is limited to 09' - 10' academic year with possible extension. Teach undergraduate courses in exercise science, kinesiology, and health, and mentor/advise undergraduate students.  Potential courses include Introduction to Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Foundations of Health, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Measurement and Evaluation in Kinesiology and Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries. Assistant Professor, Earth Systems Science, AAUP Acad, (106352), Geosciences.  The University of Rhode Island anticipates a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2009, in Earth Systems Science.  Develop inquiry-based methods for teaching STEM curricula to inservice K-12 teachers and undergraduates.  Teach earth science undergraduate courses in area of expertise, contribute to science education methods courses, and engage in original research.  A Ph.D. in Earth Systems Sciences or equivalent and demonstration of a research program in some aspect of earth systems science are required.
