Department of Housing and Residential Life is accepting requests from Local 528 staff members who wish to assist with traffic control for Move-In “2009” and other responsibilities as designated by the Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel on the following dates and times:

 

               Saturday, September 5, 2009…………...6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Sunday, September 6, 2009......…………6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Monday, September 7, 2009...…………..6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

 

In addition, the Department of Housing and Residential Life needs 1 heavy motor equipment operator and 2 groundskeepers to assist during these same dates and times with dumpster trash removal and other responsibilities as designated by Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel.

Lead Information Technologist, PTAA, (108702), Digital Forensics.   Salary Range:  $59,101-$79,792   (Full time/calendar year rate).  Position is limited to 6/30/2010 with extension contingent on funding. Plan, organize and control the information technology activities of the University of Rhode Island Digital Forensics Center (DFC) research, training, and service teams.  May also assist in scheduling and assigning personnel or act as a project leader.  Provide leadership, direction and training to other staff members.  Works independently and requires only general supervision.  Required:  Undergraduate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Digital Forensics required; graduate degree in Digital Forensics preferred.  Must have either four years’ experience in an information technology position or 6 years’ experience in a position that included a substantial amount of information technology work.  In both of the aforementioned, two years of the information technology experience must have been acquired while working in an organization that practices digital forensics research and/or service; this experience may be concurrent with obtaining the undergraduate degree. Must have demonstrated the ability to perform duties and responsibilities independently on most tasks and require only minimal supervision to perform the remaining tasks.  Must have demonstrated the ability to train in digital forensics technology.  Must have demonstrated the ability to organize, coordinate and supervise digital forensics research staff and service staff. Must have demonstrated the ability to prepare and present detailed digital forensics case and research studies and reports that include recommendations concerning the substance of the studies and reports.  Must be able to interpret and adhere to institutional policies, plans, objectives, rules and regulations, and standards; and communicate the interpretation to subordinates and others.  Thorough proficiency with FTK and EnCase digital forensics software, digital forensics workstations and hardware, and digital forensics procedures is required.  Experience in the areas of teaching, providing effective customer digital forensics services, evaluating digital forensics software and hardware products, and preparing and presenting digital forensics case and research reports are preferred.  Submit (no emails or faxes, please) a resume and cover letter postmarked by 07-17-09 to: Victor Fay-Wolfe, Search Chair, Refer to Req# 12464
