Department of Housing and Residential Life is accepting requests from Local 528 staff members who wish to assist with traffic control for Move-In “2008” and other responsibilities as designated by the Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel on the following dates and times:

 

               Saturday, August 30, 2008……….6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Sunday, August 31, 2008......……..6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Monday, September 1, 2008...……6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

 

In addition, the Department of Housing and Residential Life needs 1 heavy motor equipment operator and 2 groundskeepers to assist during these same dates and times with dumpster trash removal and other responsibilities as designated by Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel.

 

If interested, go to the Department of Housing & Residential Life room 104 to Sign Up:  If your name is not on the Sign-Up Sheet you will not be eligible for HRL Move-In Traffic Control 2008.

Senior Information Technologist (Distributed Support), PTAA, (107207), Undergraduate Admissions.   Salary Range: $49,416-$66,273 (Full time/calendar year rate).  Responsible for supporting information technology systems within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, analyze needs and determine and implement appropriate solutions. Provide authoritative assistance to staff members with desktop computing and information processing services involved in the business process of Undergraduate Admissions. May also serve as Senior Information Technologist on a project team that involves other staff. Perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.  Required: Bachelor's degree; either 2 years of experience in an information technology position, or 4 years of experience in a position that included a substantial amount of information technology work; demonstrated ability to address needs of distributed support; experience in the use of desktop computer hardware and software (Windows and/or Mac platforms); experience using database reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and query languages; evidence of having had experience in performing duties and responsibilities with only minimal supervision; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to organize, coordinate, and supervise support staff.  Preferred: Experience in higher education; experience using Microsoft Office products and tools; experience making recommendations and preparing reports and documentation for multiple types of groups; experience in presenting these reports to large groups as well as to senior management; experience supporting needs of administrative technology activities.  Submit (no emails or faxes, please) a resume and cover letter postmarked by 08-01-08 to: Cynthia L.
