Department of Housing and Residential Life is accepting requests from Local 528 staff members who wish to assist with traffic control for Move-In “2009” and other responsibilities as designated by the Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel on the following dates and times:

 

               Saturday, September 5, 2009…………...6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Sunday, September 6, 2009......…………6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

               Monday, September 7, 2009...…………..6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

 

In addition, the Department of Housing and Residential Life needs 1 heavy motor equipment operator and 2 groundskeepers to assist during these same dates and times with dumpster trash removal and other responsibilities as designated by Housing and Residential Life and the Campus Police personnel.

Marine Research Specialist III, NUNC, (107411), Graduate School of Oceanography. Salary Range:  $38,049-$80,239 (salary to be prorated).  This is a part-time position (12 hrs/week), limited to 7/31/10 with extension contingent on funding. Perform experimental and developmental work in support of major research programs.  Responsible for the planning and management of significant experimental/research programs. Required:  Bachelor's degree in Chemical Oceanography, Chemistry, or related field; minimum of four years of relevant research experience which includes expertise in a broad or intense area of research specialization; strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse population; ability to supervise. Additional experience must include: experience with organic trace analysis using gas chromatography. Information Technologist, PTAA, (107166), Computer Science. Salary Range:  $43,760-$58,243 (salary will be prorated).  This is a part-time position (25 hrs/week), limited to 6/30/10, with extension contingent on funding. Implement and maintain digital forensics software and equipment systems, and provide dissemination of digital forensics research results and training to customers/end users of the research products.  Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, with demonstrable course work in each of the following: digital forensics, web development, and business software, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and additional experience; one year of experience in an information technology position or two years of experience that included a substantial amount of information technology work.  Whether one or two years of experience, the experience must include all of the following: working with digital forensics software EnCase, SAFE Block, FTK Imager, and SAFE; web development, and development of college teaching and professional training web-based multi-media material. Must have technical knowledge of digital forensics and be proficient in: PhP Programming, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop.
