Manager, Memorial Union/Night, PSA/NEA, (106937), Memorial Union. Salary Range:  $39,484- $48,936 (Full time/calendar year rate).  Supervise all aspects of the Building Services area, including frontline building, parking and event management.  Oversee implementation of basic accounting procedures during nights, weekends, and holiday periods.  Enforce policies, procedures and fire/safety regulations.  Oversee all aspects of building security, including surveillance and alarm systems.  Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.  Minimum of three years of facility management experience required; previous experience in student union facility operations preferred.  Must have working knowledge of building systems and equipment, such as audio-visual & security systems, and of maintenance and custodial services.  Must possess strong interpersonal skills, the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to organize, coordinate and supervise support staff.  Must be able to work flexible shifts and hours during down times, intercessions, and/or summers.  Must be reachable by telephone to respond to emergencies related to the facility's alarm system.  Experience working with diverse populations preferred.  Submit (no emails or faxes, please) a resume and cover letter postmarked by 12-05-08 to:  Michael J. Marine Research Specialist I, PSA/NEA, (New), Graduate School of Oceanography. Salary Range:  $31,782-$38,698 (Full time/calendar year rate).  Position is limited to 7/31/09 with extension contingent on funding. Assist with the implementation of marine and environmental science education and outreach programs.  Assist with the Coordination of a national network of ocean science education centers. Required:  Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or a related; a minimum of one year experience in ocean science education and outreach. Experience with the following required: working in a university outreach setting; planning large events with a national audience; producing ocean science meeting materials; proven ability interacting with diverse groups of people, including groups underrepresented in math and science education; working with K-12 students.  Familiarity with state and federal science education standards required; as is Red Cross CPR certification.  Must provide own transportation.
