Research Specialist II, PSA/NEA,
(New), Coastal
Resources Center.
Salary Range: $36,702- $45,136 (Full time/calendar
year rate). Position is limited to 12/06/09 with extension
contingent on funding. As part of the Coastal Resources Center's
(CRC) team, assist principal investigators, directors, coastal management,
technical staff and others in support of a major, multi-partner, multi-year
State-funded project, the
Ocean/Renewable Energy Special Area Management Plan (SAMP). (The project is funded by the Rhode Island
Economic Development Corporation as part of the Rhode Island Partnership for
Energy.) Bachelor's degree required. The following are required: minimum of two
years of experience in compiling and analyzing research data; experience
responding to informational requests to support research efforts, using
resources such as the library, Internet, interviews and surveys; ability to
organize and synthesize information quickly and efficiently; experience in data
management, including budget forecasting, and preparation of spreadsheets and
graphics; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse,
cross-cultural populations, and to organize and facilitate teams across a range
of activities, and to organize workshops; demonstrated organizational skills
and the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and achieve
deadlines with efficiency and accuracy. The following are preferred: PeopleSoft experience; related fiscal
reporting experience; familiarity with Filemaker Pro and QuickBooks programs. Submit
