Customer Services Representative (RAM Computers), PTAA, (New, Bookstore. Salary Range:  $36,853-$48,020 (Full time/calendar year rate).  Position is limited to 12/31/09 with extension contingent on funding. Provide RAM Computer Store customers with assistance in purchasing products, service those products, and resolve customer problems.  Maintain and track customer sales and service records, vendor records, purchase orders, and shipping and receiving records.  A high school diploma and a minimum of 30 college credits in computer and information technology areas or equivalent work experience required.  Experience in one or more of the following areas required: hardware and software diagnostic experience; software technical experience, including virus and spyware cleaning; database management experience; Web development experience or experience building and maintaining dynamic Web sites with PHP and MySQL. Information Technologist, PTAA, (108700), University Computing Systems. Salary Range:  $42,485- $56,547 (Full time/calendar year rate).  This position is limited to 9/30/09 with possible extension depending on funding. Responsible for developing and supporting the Academic Roadmap system for the University of Rhode Island.  Required:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field; one year of experience in a Web development position, or 2 years of experience in a position that included a substantial amount of Web development work; demonstrated knowledge and skill in XHTML, CSS, and web authoring tools (e.g., Dreamweaver); experience using database tools such as SQL query language and building web sites as well as data-driven web applications with both client- and server-side languages (e.g., Javascript, PHP, JSP, and Java) on a range of database platforms (e.g., MySQL and Oracle); skills in writing technical documentation; experience in the area of training and providing effective customer services (preferably in higher education); knowledge of the differences in web browsers, operating systems, and current web technologies; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and ability to work well on a team and to be self-motivated.  Preferred:  Experience in developing and supporting LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) applications and knowledge of web standards, usability and accessibility issues are highly desirable.  Preference will be given to candidates who can multitask and show their experience with and enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills and keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies.  Submit (no emails or faxes, please) a resume and cover letter postmarked by 12-26-08 to: Lisa X.
