Title of Position: Clinical Assistant Professor Position Number: 106695
Department: Nursing
This is a three-year, non-tenured, full-time academic year
appointment for the Fall of 2009. Potential for renewal of position dependent
upon student enrollment and funding.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Classroom and clinical
teaching at the undergraduate level; supervision of clinical faculty; student
advising and service on college committees; participation in scholarly
activities to promote the goals of the college.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Master's
degree in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in Rhode Island; strong,
recent background in nursing care of children and families in acute care and/or
ambulatory settings; commitment to baccalaureate education and the mission of
the College of Nursing; excellent communication skills, both oral and
written. Preferred: Experience in classroom and/or clinical
teaching at the baccalaureate level; PhD in nursing or related field;
supervisory experience; demonstrated
ability to work with diverse populations.
