TITLE: Senior Information Technologist
DIVISION: Administration (
REPORTS TO: Executive

SUPERVISES: Support staff
BASIC FUNCTION:
Design, implement and maintain a Web-based,
database-driven Web reporting system and
official website for the University’s
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and maintain a database-driven project and administrative information system.
Serve as Webmaster for the
Use new media to promote and market Center activities. Produce and maintain print and electronic communications campaigns including: brochures, marketing materials, displays, Web sites, databases, and magazine articles.
Assist in the electronic production of print and electronic newsletters, web-based newsletters, and other promotional and educational outreach materials. Use design, layout and advanced information technology skills to create educational outreach content for print and Web audiences.
Support Web-based survey and data collection activities.
Maintain a laboratory of approximately 30 workstations,
including technical support, updates and general maintenance and management of
the lab.

LICENSES, TOOLS
AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. Must have a minimum of two years’ professional experience in an information technology position, or four years’ experience in a position that included a substantial amount of information technology content. Must have proven project management skills, marketing, and editorial and management skills. Must be able to write effective marketing copy. Experience with PHP and SQL required, as is Windows server administration experience. Must have experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to organize, coordinate, and supervise support staff. Demonstrated ability to work independently required. Preferred: Experience with a significant focus on the development of new media Web-based applications.
