Faculty Position

TITLE: Clinical Assistant Professor, Nursing POSITION NUMBER: 106589

DEPARTMENT:         Nursing        

This is a three-year, non-tenure, full-time academic year appointment for the Fall of 2009. Potential for renewal of position dependent upon student enrollment and funding.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Classroom and clinical teaching at the undergraduate level; student advising and service on college committees; participate in the development and implementation of an alternative track for a diverse student population; participation in scholarly activities to promote the goals of the college.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Master's degree in nursing and eligibility for RN licensure in Rhode Island; strong, recent background in clinical nursing practice; commitment to baccalaureate education and the mission of the College of Nursing; excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Preferred: Experience in classroom and/or clinical teaching and student advisement at the baccalaureate level; PhD in nursing or related field; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
