ROBERT CAROTHERS
Dr. Robert L. Carothers served as URI's president for 18 years. Prior to that he served as chancellor of the Minnesota State University System and as president of Southwest Minnesota State University. President Carothers earned his Ph.D. From Kent State University and a Juris Doctor's degree from the University of Akron. He now teaches courses in leadership and in the law of higher education. He is also widely recognized for his work in alcohol abuse and addiction among college students.
DEAN LIBUTTI
Dr. Dean D. Libutti is URI's Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Johnson and Wales University. His passion, experience and research interests lie in overall student success and persistence, affordability and accessibility, new student programs, academic advising, and student recruitment and retention. Prior to joining URI, Dr. Libutti served as the Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life and Academic Development at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA.
ANN MORRISSEY
Ann Morrissey serves as the Special Assistant to the Provost for Academic Planning at URI. She has worked in the field of leadership and organizational development for over 25 years. She began her career at URI in 1988, initiating the university's student leadership program for which she received the New England Outstanding Staff Programmer Award from the National Association of Student Activities (NACA). She moved into the area of organizational and staff development and university-wide planning in 1997, and then for six years was the Executive Assistant to the President and Co-Director of Planning Services.
LINDA PERRY
Dr. Linda Perry has been employed in higher education for over thirty years in various
capacities. Her success in the college community has included both the academic and
student services areas, and she has received numerous awards for teaching excellence. Areas of expertise include courses in leadership and internships. In student services she has worked as a resident director, facilitated study abroad programs, and started up a career services initiative for a new baccalaureate college to provide counseling and professional development.
JASON PINA
Dr. Jason B. Pina is URI's Dean of Students and Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. He currently also serves as the Director of NASPA Rhode Island. He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Johnson and Wales University. He has held a range of administrative leadership positions, including at Roger Williams University (RI), Stonehill College (MA), Babson College (MA), the University of Northern Colorado, and Occidental College (CA).
