THOMAS R. DOUGAN

Dr. Thomas R. Dougan is URI's Vice President for Student Affairs, which is the position he has held since 2001. Dr. Dougan came to the university in 1985 as the Dean of Students, and held interim positions as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Assistant VP for Student Affairs. Dr. Dougan arrived at URI from the University of Florida where he served for eight years as Assistant Dean of Students. Dr. Dougan's area of interest is in the organization and administration of student affairs, and he is a national expert in fraternity and sorority programs and services.

Dr. Dean D. Libutti is URI's Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Johnson and Wales University. His passion, experience and research interests lie in overall student success and persistence, affordability and accessibility, new student programs, academic advising, and student recruitment and retention. Prior to joining URI, Dr. Libutti served as the Assistant to the Vice President for Student Life and Academic Development at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA.

 

 

JERRI DRUMMOND

Dr. Jerri Drummond is Dean of Students at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2007 in Student Affairs Administration and Research and a M.A. in Guidance and Counseling with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Southeast Missouri State University in 2000.  Prior to RISD, she served as the Associate Vice President for Student Development and Director of Multicultural Affairs at SUNY College of Technology at Alfred, NY.  Her research, passion and experience lie in multicultural awareness, racial identity development, and assessment.

 

LINDA PERRY

Dr. Linda Perry has been employed in higher education for over thirty years in various capacities. Her success in the college community has included both the academic and student services areas, and she has received numerous awards for teaching excellence. Areas of expertise include courses in leadership and internships. In student services she has worked as a resident director, facilitated study abroad programs, and started up a career services initiative for a new baccalaureate college to provide counseling and professional development.
