| Most Compelling Story: | A relationship with a student began under negative or unfortunate circumstances, but in the end the relationship turned into a positive one. The student ended up looking to this S.A. staff member as a reference and important contact. The staff member receives e-mails from this now former student, and the helping relationship continues. The student offered that if the staff member were ever in his hometown, to feel free to stay with or contact his parents.
A S.A. staff member was empowered by the courage of a first year student who was being stalked. Knowing an individual with that much courage made this staff member feel that he/she has a “really good job.”
A S.A. staff member found an international student an apartment within walking distance of the campus because this student did not have transportation. The student was so grateful to this individual that he visited this staff member to share his progress and express his thanks, and he brought the staff member a large bag of candy as a “thank you.” |
