Fall 2006	Recruit all Elementary Teacher Education Students in EDC 453 Obtain IRB consent for Self Efficacy, Beliefs & Attitudes, Grades, TTM, NOS, Science Content, Background paper, Observation, Video, Lesson Plan, Lesson Analysis, Interview Administer questionnaires for STEBI, Beliefs/Attitudes, NOS Obtain science transcript titles & grades		Finalize survey versions & consents Print scan forms and IRB consent letters and prepare envelopes Complete on-line versions Select schools Contact principals & meet October Obtain consents Administer TTM, Beliefs & Attitudes, & STEBI (November), background Paper/Mailing & On-line Administration per principal
Spring 2007	Elementary/Middle Science Methods--EDC 457 Collect: Background paper (Beliefs & Attitudes), Content test, Post NOS, Post STEBI Video/lesson plan/analysis (small sample of students), Observe (small sample of students), TTM (at Post test time), Interviews (small sample of students), Post Beliefs/Attitudes (final paper) Select 30 based on instructor recommendations Obtain IRB Consent for 4 year study	Develop lists of cooperating teachers in the 3 categories Recruit 10 KTL, 10 KT, 10 NKT* matches for 30 student teachers Obtain IRB consent	Scan data and set up SPSS files Merge paper and on-line data Begin analysis
Summer 2007	Train on StudioCode software Establish inter-rater reliability Assign science content reviews based on lesson content Video analysis Test data analysis Writers’ retreat Send out pilot articles & 2008 AERA/NARST proposals	Continue recruitment of 10 KTL,10 KT, 10 NKT* matches for 30 student teachers Obtain IRB consent
