Dr. George Willis, Professor in the School of Education, at the University
of Rhode Island is the 2012 American Educational Research Association
(AERA) Division B, Lifetime Achievement Award winner. This award is given
to outstanding scholars with a strong continuous record of accomplishment
who have made a visible and substantive contribution to the field of
curriculum studies. The award is presented each year at the AERA, Division
B Business Meeting. - Dr. Julie Coiro receives the URI Early Career Faculty Research Excellence Award in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities for 2012. This direct reflection of outstanding scholarship brings great credit to the academic and research mission of URI as well as recognition and esteem to the state of Rhode Island
