The development of a plan to ensure articulation between national content standards, the content knowledge of teacher education candidates and their ability of apply this knowledge as beginning teachers. Increased understanding of mathematics and science for elementary teachers in key schools.
Measures:
State licensure examinations and teacher preparation program measures of content knowledge; Beginning Teachers who meet the definition of “highly qualified”, program approval standard for content knowledge.
