Dr. Jing Jian Xiao is Professor of Consumer Economics in Department of Human Development and Family Studies at University of Rhode Island. He teaches courses and conduct research in consumer economics and finance. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Family and Economic Issues and also serves on editorial boards of several academic journals in consumer economics and finance. He has published extensively in areas of consumer economics and finance including several books such as Modern Family Economics, Mathematics of Personal Finance, Chinese Youth in Transition, and Handbook of Consumer Finance Research. He is the editor-in-chief of a book series entitled International Series on Consumer Science. He received his B. S. and M. S. in economics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Ph.D. in consumer economics from Oregon State University. For more details, see his CV.
