Beth Shorrock, BFA, MAT Rhode Island School of Design

After earning her  BFA in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design, Beth spent 15 years as part owner and designer of a successful women’s clothing and fabric design company.   She also created and operated retail stores, built an impressive clientele and continually met the changing demands of the clothing buying public. She returned to RISD to earn an MAT in Visual Art and Design Education. After teaching Visual Art for two years at an alternative middle school, Beth has joined the teaching staff in TMD and is teaching courses that reflect her considerable experience in designing and retail.  Meanwhile she has returned to her designing roots and is in the process of developing a new line of clothing.
