TMD 402L “Made in China” Each year the TMD Department focuses on a new theme for the spring seminar. This year's theme is “Made in China.” Each week speakers from academia and industry address various aspects of the theme, drawing on their experience. The class meets Wednesday afternoons at 4 p.m. in Quinn Auditorium throughout the semester. Visitors are welcome. The course web site is the product of both the instructor and the students. The logo for the semester is taken from a Chinese altar cloth in the URI Historic Textile and Costume Collection. A dog signifies a long life and other motifs are interpreted to mean one million. Overall it might be taken to mean “Have a long life for a million years”
