TITLE: Assistant Coach, Men's Football/Offensive Running Back
DIVISION: Student Development (Athletics)
REPORTS TO: Coach, Men's Football
GRADE: (Not applicable)
SUPERVISES:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Directly responsible for offensive running back positions on the University's Division I-AA NCAA football team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for coaching offensive running back positions.
Responsible for hands-on monitoring of all academic concerns for students in these positions with regard to academics, eligibility, study hall supervision, and grade checks.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May supervise the weight and off-season conditioning program as it relates to football.
Comply with all NCAA, University, and Yankee Conference policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.

CONDITIONS:
This position is subject to both inside and outside work; extreme cold and hot temperatures can be encountered.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree is required. Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching and recruiting student athletes required, as are demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with college students. A minimum of two years of college coaching experience is required, as well as expertise in weight training and off-season conditioning as it relates to football. Excellent organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills are also required. Must possess a commitment to a high degree of integrity, and adherence to the University, NCAA, and Yankee Conference rules and regulations, and to student athletes' academic progress and achievements. Appointment is subject to NCAA violation report clearance.
