Instructional Development Program
Welcome to the Instructional Development Program
The Instructional Development Program was created in 1975 to encourage and support the efforts of faculty and other instructors to provide effective instruction for students. We pursue that mission primarily through individual consultation, workshops and seminars, and the Teaching Fellows Program, but we also respond to specific requests from departments and programs.
In all of our work, we recognize and honor diversity of teaching and learning styles, we look for practical responses to instructional challenges, and we attend to the research on teaching and learning. The Instructional Development Program reports to the Office of the Provost and is monitored by the faculty Senate's Teaching Effectiveness Committee.
