 The
IEP's partnership with business and industry is guided by an annual meeting
of its Advisory Board, generally at the headquarters of one of the companies
closely associated with the program. This year, however, the Advisory Board
was invited to have its annual meeting on the campus of its exchange partner
university, the Technische Universität Braunschweig (TU-BS). During a
ceremony held as part of the meeting, URI President Robert Carothers was
named Honorary Senator of TU-BS, an honor held by only eight other living
persons and never before granted to a non-German.
