IEP Advisory Board Meeting held in Braunschweig, Germany June 2-3, 1999

 



President Robert Carothers exchanges greetings with incoming Braunschweig President Jochen Litterst.  Joining them are URI Accounting Professor and
Mrs. Spencer Martin, who spent the month of May in Braunschweig.  Dr. Martin was the second URI faculty member to teach in Braunschweig.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
