Michael T. Byrnes brings expertise to the Board, both as a business executive and a retired Brigadier General from the U.S. Army. He is our China expert, having lived and worked in China and Hong Kong for more than 20 years. From 1991 through 1997 he was assigned to the US Embassy in Beijing as the Defense Attaché to both China and Mongolia. He then served Rockwell Automation as Vice President for China Operations and most recently as the President for Tyco International in China, where the company has 32,000 employees and more than 40 operational units. Mr. Byrnes is currently the President of Middle Kingdom Advisors as well as a Senior Advisor to Yuan Associates, a Beijing based government affairs services firm which assists US enterprises to enter, expand and operate in the China market.
