The faculty and
staff of the International Engineering Program at the
University of Rhode Island wish to extend both a hearty
welcome and thanks to all attending and participating in this
meeting
Our gathering attests to
the fact that engineering and business are indeed global
today, and that new educational curricula must reflect this fact. Our meeting also demonstrates that international
engineering is a phenomenon of interest to both the private
and public sectors as well as to higher education.
Our time together,
therefore, represents a partnership of joint exploration to
determine the best paths of preparation for the global
leaders of the next century.
