Directions to URI from Providence (T. F. Green) Airport and from Points North:

Take I-95 south for five miles. Take Exit 9 (left-hand exit) onto Route 4.  After 10 miles, Route 4 blends into Route 1.  Continue south on Route 1. After another 3 miles, take Route 138 west to Kingston (approx. 5 miles).  In Kingston, turn right at the second traffic light onto Upper College Road.  Proceed through the four-way stop sign and immediately turn right to the Visitor Center for a parking permit and a campus map.

Directions to URI from Points South:

From I-95 north, take Exit 3a and follow Route 138 east to Kingston (approximately 12 miles).  In Kingston, turn left at the second traffic light at the top of the hill onto Upper College Road. Proceed through the four-way stop sign and immediately turn right to the Visitor Center for a parking permit and a campus map.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
