Christian Callegari completed his bachelor of Computer Science at University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg, Germany in 1992. From 1992 to 1994 he studied at the University of Connecticut where he received a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He joined Siemens AG in 1995 where he worked as design and commissioning Engineer and Supervisor for Power Plant Automation Project in Latin America and Iran. Since 2000 he has served as Regional Manager Corporate Recruiting and Sourcing for the Americas. In this capacity he is part of a global team which is responsible for developing and nurturing relations between Siemens and the top universities throughout the world. Mr. Callegari has taken an active role in the internationalization of engineering education, working closely with several universities in North-and Latin America as well as Germany.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
