Christopher Lepore is a German / Mechanical Engineering major in the International Engineering Program at the University of Rhode Island. He spent the past 6 months interning for Emitec GmbH in Köln, Germany, preceded by a 6-month study program at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. In his fifth year at URI, he is an active participant in the Mini-Baja competition, in which college teams from around the world build and race amphibious, off-road vehicles. Christopher will be graduating in May of next year.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
