Heide Naderer, Deputy Director, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), New York Office:
Heide Naderer studied Political Science, Law and Art History at the University of Hamburg. In 1993 she received her doctoral degree from the University of Hamburg. She worked for the German Science Council and as Managing Director at the Accreditation Council in Cologne and Bonn. She joined the New York Office of DAAD in 2001. Heide Naderer has taught graduate courses in Political Science at the Military University in Hamburg and from January 2002 at Queens College/CUNY. She has published on higher education policy in Germany and in the US.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
