Rarick

Damon Rarick (Ph.D., Brown University, 1998) is a Visiting Assistant Professor of German with degrees in German and Physics. His research and teaching interests include German for engineers, applied language instruction, educational technology, technology and engineering, German language pedagogy, business and scientific German, and interdisciplinary manifestations of 20th century German literature.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines. IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
