 Profiles:

John Schwenker is currently a Staff Engineer in CF6 Project, Commercial Engines Operations of GE Aircraft Engines

John has a BEEE from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Xavier University. He has worked for the past 30 years with GE in various global operation centering on manufacturing and procurement. He was employed as a Field Service Engineer in Saudi Arabia and then returned to GE Aircraft Engines to lead several manufacturing groups. For the past 15 years he has worked in International Procurement for GE Aircraft Engines interfacing with suppliers and Revenue Share Participants in Sweden, Germany, Italy, The UK, Japan, Switzerland and Israel.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
