The International Engineering Program is a
dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with
a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines. IEP students study
language and culture each semester along with their engineering
curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go
abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America,
and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities |
Dr.
Bartels is Professor and Department Chair of Electrical
Engineering at the Fachhochschule Lübeck. He joined the FHL in
1993 after R&D positions with Daimler Benz (Design of Radar
Systems) and Bosch / Blaupunkt (Chip-Design for RF-Receivers).
He received the Dipl.-Ing. (U) and Ph.D. degrees from the
University of Hannover in 1984 and 1991, respectively.
