The International Engineering Program is a
dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with
a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines. IEP students study
language and culture each semester along with their engineering
curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go
abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America,
and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities |
I
received a Ph.D. in Foreign and Second Language Education with a
minor in Japanese Linguistics and Educational Research from the
Ohio State University in 2000. I have been teaching and
coordinating the Japanese language courses offered by the
College of Arts and Sciences and the International Co-op Program
at the University of Cincinnati. Other than classroom
instruction, I have organized activities such as study abroad
programs and a weekly Japanese Language Table. Furthermore, I am
building a network in a regional community by working with K-16
teachers in the field.
