Matthew Malinowski

Matthew MalinowskiMatthew J. Malinowski holds a B.A. from Gonzaga University and an M.P.A from the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked in various aspects of University Administration including development, general administration, and international education. His current position is as Coordinator of the Study Abroad for Engineers program at the University of Pittsburgh. In his role as Coordinator for the School of Engineering, Matthew is the lead developer of programs specifically for engineering students. The most recent program development in the School of Engineering has been the Eng 12+2 program piloted in the Summer of 2003 which seek to introduce freshmen engineers to an international culture while concurrently developing their knowledge in international business and systems.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
