Jim McGwin

Jim
McGwin, President and CEO of Collaboration Catalyst Corporation,
has over 25 years of international industry and consulting
experience with an emphasis on execution of innovation in
products and processes across organizational and industry
boundaries, in support of the all phases of product-life–cycle,
from concept to end of life service. During his career, Jim has
led several successful value-chain formation and transformation
initiatives.
This focus has lead Jim to develop practical measures of
collaboration and supporting technology tools including: the IPC
metric that compares information, product and cash cycles across
supply chains; Hierarchy of Business Needs, based on Maslow’s
Hierarchy, balancing value creation with partner behavior and
process capability; and recently the Digital Enzyme, a web
service/extended Internet Sense and Response tool. He has
authored presentations and articles on a range of supply chain,
collaborative commerce, optimization, partnering, manufacturing,
business and systems topics.
McGwin’s prior experience includes: senior operations roles,
including Director of Operations for a medical device company
that is now part of Johnson & Johnson, VP of Operations for an
eCommerce start-up acquired by IntelliMark, led the New England
Supply Chain and International Supply Chain Audit/Assurance
practices for KPMG; and the Materials Manager for Brown & Sharpe
Mfg.
Throughout his career, Jim has been active in groups such as: a
founding member of the Global Collaborative Commerce Initiative;
organized the C-Frame Aerospace and Defense a consortium;
Congressional Business Advisory Council; organizing member of
the Supply Chain the Supply Chain Council (SCOR), where he has
taken a lead in initiating international research defining
processes for Collaboration and Exception Management in Supply
Chains, specifically the SCOR model; the American Production and
Inventory Control Society (APICS) where he assisted in the
development of the certification programs; National Association
of Purchasing Managers, as well as philanthropic organizations.
