Walter von Reinhart

Walter von Reinhart, University of Rhode IslandWalter von Reinhart has been teaching at the University of Rhode Island since 1990. In addition to teaching German language and culture courses at all level, Walter develops and teaches specialized German courses for engineering students. He also teaches interdisciplinary humanities courses in the Honors program.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
