This year's meeting will be held on September 30 - October 3, 2004 at the Westin Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island.  The Westin is located in the heart of Providence, America's Renaissance City (photos).

The Westin is a first-class conference facility adjacent to the Rhode Island Convention Center, Providence Place Mall and Waterplace Park.  Over 400 restaurants, stores, and theaters are within walking distance of the hotel, and an excellent shuttle, ferry, gondola, trolley and bus system near the hotel provides easy access to other local attractions.

Airport Taxi & Limousine Service (401-737-2868) operates a shuttle between Rhode Island's T. F. Green State Airport (PVD) and the Westin for $9 per person, one way.  The Amtrak station is located within walking distance of the hotel with Acela service to Boston, New York, Washington, DC and points between.

TO RESERVE A ROOM:

To reserve a room in the Westin Hotel, you may call 1-800-WESTIN1 or visit the hotel's customized colloquium website.  Please mention that you are part of the Colloquium on International Engineering Education.  The conference rate for rooms is $149 per night plus tax.

The International Engineering Program is a dual-degree program combining a B.A. in German, French and/or Spanish with a B.S. in one of the engineering disciplines.  IEP students study language and culture each semester along with their engineering curriculum. In the fourth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with engineering based firms in Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities
